Conversation Pieces Work Well in Profile Pcs

This is a very underused bit of advice. A lot of singles will put up pretty bland pictures of themselves with nothing exciting going on. While one or two regular pictures is good, you should also put up a few pictures of you doing what you like – hiking, drinking wine, whatever. The more unusual or interesting it is, the more likely you are to get someone who’ll ask you about it and hence strike up a conversation.

Don’t Use a Bad Camera

Many different cameras are around nowadays and there are lots of even cheap ones which can still take a decent picture. And of course, there are smartphones as well. Yet it is shocking how many dating profile pics are actually really, really bad and grainy. These days, there’s simply no excuse.

Don’t Use Outdated Photos

Old photos from years ago that no longer apply… Get rid of them, especially if they really misrepresent what you currently look like. It’s the present that counts, people! You’ll only come off as a liar if you end up looking drastically different to the image you portray online. So, it’s important to just get rid of it and move on.

Keep Your Audience in Mind

If you’re on the lookout for sex… Well, then things like topless photos or those taken at “sexy” angles (including the infamous “duckface”) are probably all okay. However, this isn’t the same on a dating sit where people are looking to meet a serious partner. You need to keep the kind of audience you want in mind.
