It was speculated that the lawsuit was an attempt to scare off potential buyers and to compel bumble to sell since the lawsuit would be dropped immediately. The lawsuit has not worked as planned concerning potential buyers. “Bumble is very excited about other potential opportunities that are still very much in discussion, and none of the recent news has affected these conversations.”, founder Whitney Wolfe said on the topic.

As Tinder has recently incorporated a Bumble like feature which allows women to control whether or not a conversation is initiated, which has been cited in bumbles open letter multiple times. “We’re more than a feature where women make the first move.
